12 houses fully furnished in the city of Uberlandia, each housing 9 children and 1 Christian 'mum'. When all the houses are built, 108 children will have shelter and full-time care, not having to wander on the streets. Also, we have a vision for a school for the Mount Moriah children and children from the nearby poor district. This will be built partly on land owned by Mount Moriah Homes and partly on adjacent land owned by the local council.
Currently 4 homes are functioning, with 39 children and 4 mums. The facilities include a play-ground, covered worship / bar-b-que area, administration block, shop and gardens..
The children always come from broken families and many suffered all sorts of violence and abuse. At Moriah Home they find a family-environment with a loving Christian 'mum' and 'brothers and sisters' in the same house.
Good quality meals are always taken with the family together. The children attend the local school and are regularly assisted by doctors, dentists, psychologists and social workers.
8 further houses and a school need to be built. We also have to find support for keeping all the children living there, and for the ones coming.
Each house costs £14,000 to build and furnish. Each child costs £44 per month to be provided with good food, clothes, education and all their living expenses.
More children can be taken in only if we can build new houses. You select the way you prefer to help using the application form and we will make the commitment of sending you regular financial reports, updates and photos of how the construction is progressing.
If this is your chosen option, we will send you the photograph of the child you sponsor, with their personal file and all the important information. Periodically we will give you updates of the child's general state, their health and progress at school. Exchanging letters with the child will be possible through our translators.

Most years we organise a trip from the U.K. to Brazil. You could use this opportunity to see the house you helped to build, or meet the child you sponsor. Once we receive your reply, we will send you out more information.
